This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and no award is to follow. Pursuant to FAR part 10 (Market Research), the United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, Baltimore, MD is seeking to identify sources capable of overhauling and providing new Reintjes WVS 234 UP Marine Reduction Gears that conform to the form, fit, and function and direct replacement of what is now in place on the 47’ Motor Life Boat (47MLB) Coast Guard series small boats. The current Reduction Gears are manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Reintjes GmbH. Other vendors are invited to provide their capabilities to demonstrate their ability to overhaul these Reduction Gears, as well as supply new Reduction Gears in accordance with the attached SOW. The anticipated NAICS Code is 333612 – Speed Changer, Industrial High-Speed Drive, and Gear Manufacturing and the size standard is 750 employees. Interested parties should register in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. SAM can be obtained by accessing the internet at www.beta.sam.gov or by calling 1-866-606-8220. The requirement will be for both overhauled and new Reduction Gears. Companies having capabilities to provide these items are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities no later than the close date of this notice (03/10/2021). The information submitted must include: 1. Name of Company, Address and DUNS Number 2. Point of Contact and Phone Number 3. Business Size applicable to the NAICS Code (If Small Business, must identify concern) 4. Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate capability including acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) 5. Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Government to evaluate the information relative to the requirements. However, responses to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered adequate responses to any resultant solicitation.
