The USCG hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price task order to Maritime Research Associates to conduct propellor analysis on the USCG FRC vessel type. Maritime Research Associates is a small business. The period of performance for this effort will be a 4- month base period. The total estimated value is less than $75,000.00 (under the SAT). This sole source contracting action is in accordance with FAR 13.106 (2)(C) and FAR 6.303-2 modified to reflect procedures in FAR 13.5. This hereby constitutes a synopsis of this requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of this requirement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received would normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
