The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Engineering Services Division, In Service Vessel Sustainment branch is seeking qualified sources that can provide an estimated overhaul and upgrade an estimated three (3) each Appleton Marine pedestal mounted, telescoping boom crane with PLC-based integrated crane control system, P/N DWG-SKC-2720 in support of the ongoing 225’ WLB Major Maintenance Availability (MMA) program. NO substitute part numbers will be accepted. This contract will include an Onboard Repair Parts Kit, Appleton Marine P/N AMD-2685; and technical representative services to support commissioning and operation and maintenance training. This is a follow-on therefore it is the Government’s intent to solicit and negotiate only with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Appleton Marine. The Government does not possess the technical and engineering data required to enable award of this follow-on contract on a competitive basis. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM. However, concerns that have the capability to provide the required P/N may submit their capabilities which the Agency will consider. Information submitted must clearly identify (1) the offeror’s ability to provide the P/N required; and (2) previous contract information where this Crane and services have been provided to the Government and/or commercial customers. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Information must be submitted within ten (10) calendar days from the date this notice is posted. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede the award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
