The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement and requesting quotations for the manufacturing of the following parts: Item1) NSN 2010-01-463-9116, Shaft System, Propulsion, Ship DWG 47B-MLB-243-010, Item 1 Quantity 20 EA Delivery Schedule - Delivery is required ASAP. Please provide your proposed delivery________ Items used for the 47’ MLB. Items shall be manufactured in accordance with drawing number 47B MLB 243-010 Rev. M, Item 1, 2, 3 and 6, Specification No. P 243-0456. Each Shaft Systems shall be individually packed and marked, MIL-DTL-284E section 3.15.6, Level A acceptance(except Fig. 15). Inspection and acceptance shall take place at Destination after verification of preservation, Individual packaging and marking requirements and confirmation of no damage during transit. Failure to comply with packaging requirements will result in rejection and nonpayment. Quality Assurance – The Coast Guard reserves the right to verify or have performed any of the inspection set forth in section 4.0 of the specification where such inspection are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The contractor shall notify the Coast Guard Contracting Officer prior to the schedules commencement of any inspection required by this specification. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center, Baltimore MD. EVALUATION Award shall be made without discussions unless the Contracting Officer determines discussions are necessary. Quotations received in response to this synopsis/solicitation shall be evaluated on a best value basis utilizing the following technical, price and price-related factors, in the below order. (a) Past Performance (b) Price, including shipping charges (c) Cost of Quality Assurance Inspection(s)-travel related expenses for the Government to provide a Quality Assurance Representative for final test and inspection. Final test and inspection shall be conducted at the contractor’s facility, as designated below, that the services will be performed. This price shall be included in the evaluation of quotations. For evaluation purposes only, expenses will be based on one trip lasting one (1) day in duration. Airfare will be based on travel during normal working hours.
