Repair Academy Fences
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to repair and replace damaged or deficient fence components at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. Work includes replacing loose or damaged posts, resetting designated posts, replacing chain link, rails, bracing, tension wire, barbed wire, hardware, and related components, and excavating failed concrete footings for new galvanized posts set in concrete. Disturbed areas must be restored, and all repaired fence sections must be plumb, aligned, stable, properly tensioned, and fully functional. Specific work areas include the tennis courts, perimeter fence, U-Lot, and track fence. Work must be coordinated with the Technical Advisor and performed to minimize disruption to Academy operations.
