The contractor will remove and replace two existing garage doors at the Grounds Storage Building at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. The scope includes disposing of the existing doors and hardware, then furnishing and installing new white flush-panel glazed garage doors of the same size, complete with all new tracks, springs, seals, and operating components. The work also involves verifying existing framing, aligning and balancing the doors, testing them for proper operation, and demonstrating that operation to the Government upon completion. All work must comply with manufacturer instructions, building codes, OSHA safety requirements, and industry standards, with the final result fully operational, weather-tight, and free of defects.
