This is not a request for proposals or a quote and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes/proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This RFI notice has been issued to survey the market and assist the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in determining possible sources for consideration. All firms responding to this RFI notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. The USCG is conducting market research to seek sources that have the capability to supply the item on Attachment 1 – List of Items – 70Z03823IJ0000012. Item must have traceability the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), manufacturer’s Certificate of Conformance (COC), and its own COC. The salient characteristics are provided on Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics – 70Z03823IJ0000012. A photograph of an aircraft cradle is on Attachment 2 – Aircraft Cradle – 70Z03823IJ0000012 is provided to demonstrate the intended use of the heavy-duty forklift. Responses Responses to this RFI should include company name, address, telephone number, and point of contact (POC). Please respond to the following questions: Provide Brand, Model Number, lift capacity and load center with standard forks as well the additional extended forks 3” x 8” x 120”. Provide answers on Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics – 70Z03823IJ0000012 for the model that is being offered. Provide specifications as well as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty information. New Surplus will be considered if photographs, documentation, and OEM warranty information is provided for Medium Range Recovery (MRR) to review for technical acceptability. Provide estimated lead time for warranty considerations and routine maintenance. Provide estimated shipping information; will shipping be F.O.B. Destination, or F.O.B. Origin. If shipping is F.O.B. Origin please provide estimated shipping cost. Provide estimated lead time for delivery of the heavy-duty forklift being offered. Is your business a large or small business and how many employees? What North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code does your company use for this type of service? Provide System for Award Management (SAM) registration, such as Cage Code and or Unique Entity Identification. If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emergent business, or a small, disadvantaged business? If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? Is your firm a certified Hub Zone firm? Is your firm a Woman-Owned or operated business? Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned? Is your product listed on a General Services Administration (GSA) schedule? Do you have other government agencies using the product, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? If possible, provide POCs for civilian users for general usage of product questions. After the review of the responses to this RFI notice, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the SAM.gov website. Responses to this RFI are not adequate responses to any future solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this RFI. Responses to this RFI are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
