This is a sources sought synopsis only, not a solicitation announcement. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid, nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to seek sources and to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to the USCG. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to the USCG. The USCG is looking for companies capable of providing two (2) replacement Modular Test Analyzer Distributed Switch Automatic Wiring Analyzers that meet or exceed the capabilities of the currently installed DIT-MCO Model 2524 Automatic Wiring Analyzers (AWAs). One (1) system must have 20,000 switching test points and the second system must have 25,000 switching test points. Both systems must be expandable to 100,000 switching test points or more. Both systems must have at least 150 switching test points capable of providing inputted Alternating Current (AC) or Direct Current (DC) power to operate active components. In addition, the replacement AWAs must be compatible with other DIT-MCO Model 2650 MTA AWAs that are already in use at the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) and must run current DIT-MCO test programs without operator manipulation as well as be able to read DIT-MCO Test Adapter Cable (TAC) Random Hook-Up Identification (ID) code. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the future acquisition is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing. SOURCES SOUGHT RESPONSES: Responses to this notice should include Company Name, Address, Telephone Number, Point of Contact (POC), and Cage Code. All Contractors, qualified to provide two (2) Modular Test Analyzer Distributed Switch Automatic Wiring Analyzers, should submit a response presenting sufficient information to substantiate that: 1) The Contractor has Modular Test Analyzer Distributed Switch Automatic Wiring Analyzers that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the current DIT-MCO 2524 AWA and matches or exceeds the legacy DIT-MCO 2650 systems in use. 2) The AWAs will run all current test programs. 3) The Contractor can provide on-site set-up, first run debugging and repairs. 4) The Contractor can provide full warranty coverage. 5) Provide any additional comments/information you may have regarding this sources sought notice. After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
