This is a sources sought request only, not a solicitation announcement. This is NOT a request for proposals or quotes and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center is conducting market research seeking a single equipment system solution designed and manufactured to perform helicopter rotor smoothing, aircraft propeller balancing, and specialized aircraft vibration data collection. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, and point of contact (POC). Responses should also include the approximate engineering effort required to make the equipment solution capable of conducting rotor smoothing for the USCG MH-65, and propeller balancing on USCG HC-130, HC-27, HC-144. Please provide the details and terms of any standard warranty included with the product. Please respond to the following questions: (1) Which aircraft models currently use the proposed equipment to conduct rotor smoothing and propeller balancing? (2) Please provide a complete list of all components required to conduct helicopter rotor smoothing, propeller balancing, and vibration data collection. Additionally, please include the components (software and hardware) required to transfer, analyze, and archive the data. (3) Is a network based support software capable of reviewing and archiving data collected on this equipment available? (4) Is the equipment capable of providing rotor smoothing solutions using multiple corrections inputs based on data collected from multiple flight profiles? (5) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? (6) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (7) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned? (8) Is your product listed on a GSA schedule? (9) Do you have other government agencies using the product, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? (10) If possible, please provide any POCs for civilian users so we may reach out for questions on the general usage of the product. After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
