SEE ATTACHED IMAGES The USCG is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the gate operator for the Sector’s cantilever sliding vehicle gate. The north vehicle entrance to USCG Sector Lake Michigan is equipped with an automated cantilever slide gate. The gate opening is ~24 ft wide, and the entire gate is ~36 ft long including the counterbalance. The operator system for the gate has failed, causing the gate to no longer open and close automatically. The gate can still be opened and closed manually by disengaging the drive system.
