GENERAL 1.1 BACKGROUND. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) launched the 2019-2023 Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP), establishing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) resources, goals, and measures designed to increase the inclusivity of our workplace and the diversity of our ranks. The DIAP is a multi-year initiative to establish a lasting D&I foundation to develop D&I acumen, strengthen leadership, awareness, and accountability, and build and maintain an inclusive total workforce. Building on the lessons learned from the 2019 – 2023 Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, the USCG’s path ahead aligns with the Commandant’s Guiding Principles, the CG Core Values, and Coast Guard Ready Workforce 2030. 1.2 SCOPE. The USCG is seeking a contractor to deliver awareness training to promote a creative and sustainable workplace culture that encourages the total workforce to feel uniquely valued through execution of the 2019 – 2023 DIAP. 1.3 OBJECTIVE. To build on the lessons learned from the 2019 – 2023 Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, align with the Commandant’s Guiding Principles, the Commanding Generals Core Values, and Coast Guard Ready Workforce 2030, to achieve the goals of being a ready, relevant, and responsive Coast Guard through the talents and contributions of the Service’s Active Duty, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary members.
