Addressing this area is critical and can provide information to key decision makers within the structure of the critical incident command and provide the authorities in these geographical areas with better understanding of responding to a chemical release or pollution in their geographical areas. The USCG is investigating hazardous substance pollution response technologies that would clean up these chemical spills in each zone.
