The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking information from potential offerors who are interested in, and capable of manufacturing and delivering Skiff Ice (SKF-ICE) Boats which will be used as a short-haul inflatable boat. The primary purpose of these boats is to provided support to Small Boat Stations, with support for Search and Rescue (SAR) operations utilizing short-haul ice inflatable boats during the ice season. The USCG anticipates purchasing approximately 65 SKF-ICE Boats over a 5-year period. This RFI seeks information with regard to the following: Do you have a craft already in production that meets the preliminary requirements or a design that could be modified to meet the requirements? If so, please provide information on the design, and any boats that have been built to this design. (Specification sheets, drawings, photographs, production information, etc.) If you do not have a boat in production, and you are interested in submitting a proposal? What is a reasonable time period to complete a detailed design, and to build / deliver the first boat? What is a reasonable time period to build and deliver additional boats? How many boats are you able to produce a year? What are the standard warranty terms? What is the rough order of magnitude (ROM) price of your current craft? What is your company’s size and socio-economic status?
