July 3, 2023, This Notice has been amended to extend the period of performance by 5 months due to a protest. Please see attached for the updated redacted justification. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Contract Operations (CG-912), Washington, D.C. prepared this justification for an exception to fair opportunity. The USCG awarded a Task Order (TO) pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C) under contract number GS00Q14OADU343, restricting competition to one contractor. The TO was issued on a sole source basis for the purpose of maintaining critical support scheduled to end in July 2022. The proposed new TO is available through the General Services Administration (GSA) One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) Pool 3: Unrestricted. The requested TO is necessary for continuity of operations to maintain mission critical engineering and technical support services for the Ship Design Team (SDT) and Surface Forces Logistic Center - Engineering Services Division (SFLC-ESD) to continue support of CG-932 Major Surface System Programs. Significant large CG-932 surface programs supported include the Offshore Patrol Cutter A (OPC-A) and OPC-B COMDT (CG-9322), Waterway Commerce Cutters (WCC) COMDT (CG-9327), Great Lakes Ice Breaker (GLIB) COMDT (CG-9326GL), and Polar Security Cutter (PSC) COMDT (CG-9326GL.
