SYNOPSIS This is a notice of proposed contract action in accordance with FAR 5.203(a). This contract action will be awarded as a sole source contract to Motorola Solutions, Inc. under FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Inspector General’s (OIG) Office of Investigations (INV), located in Washington, DC has a requirement for technical, repair, service and support to 199 Motorola APXS000 handheld radios used by OIG Special Agents during law enforcement operations. This service and support will also cover accidental damage repairs and updating the user radio's Operating System (OS) software to the latest version supported by the user radio. This requirement is under NAICS 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed-price (FFP) contract with a 12-month base and four (4) 1-year option periods. PSC Code: J049, Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Electrical and Electric Equipment Components. The solicitation is expected to be available on or around 8/15/2023 under 70VT1523Q00040. The proposal submission date and time will be contained in the solicitation package. An estimated award date of 9/30/2023 is expected. For changes to the issue date or any other changes to the information in this synopsis, potential offerors are responsible to check the information on the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov/. This solicitation package will be posted on SAM, which can be accessed at www.sam.gov/. Paper copies of this solicitation and its amendments will not be available or issued. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package or the Interested Vendor List will not be honored. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for proposal preparation costs. Be advised that all interested parties MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at https://www.sam.gov, in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation, and to receive a contract award. The Interested Vendor List will be activated and may be accessed and printed from this web site.
