This is not a Request for Quote. The Department of Homeland Security-Office of Inspector General (DHS-OIG) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to V.H. Blackinton & Co, Inc. for (600) Law Enforcement Badges. A Sole Source procurement is authorized in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source that can provide the Law Enforcement Badges that are reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. DHS-OIG has conducted research and thoroughly analyzed previous purchase history to determine other sources for their badging needs. Although there were other badges on the market, there were no other sources able to provide the badges and keep uniformity of DHS current badges.
