The USSS intends to award a sole source purchase order to the University of Connecticut for developing research-based guidance on Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) in K-12 schools. Work will include recommendations for BTAM implementation, evaluation of state policies, and creation of a draft practice guide for school and district teams. The guidance will draw on existing research, NTAC resources, student support programs, and implementation science.
