The United States Secret Service (USSS) / Rowley Training Center (RTC) has identified a critical requirement for ‘AK-47 pattern’ rifles, equipped with Blank-Firing Adapters, and optimized for safe firing of steel-cased 7.62x39 ‘blank ammunition’, and user familiarization within various training exercises. This equipment is required to exhibit a ‘manual of arms’ consistent with current ‘AK-47 pattern’ rifles within the USSS inventory, and be compatible with existing/legacy accessories (i.e. magazines, scopes). Blank-Firing Adapter: All rifles must be provided with a removable, high-visibility muzzle-end attachment that, when installed, prevents the expulsion of a ‘live’ ammunition round (7.62x39mm) from exiting the barrel, thereby ensuring the safety of nearby personnel and equipment.
