This notice is issued solely for the purpose of conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposal, or Request for Quotations. No solicitation is being issued at this time and the Government makes no assertion that a solicitation will be issued. USCIS is issuing this Sources Sought-Request For Information (SS-RFI) for planning purposes, in support of USCIS market research on intelligent document processing (IDP) systems for the automation of data extraction from structured and unstructured documents to transform into structured useable data providing end-to-end automation to document centric business practices. The bulk of documentation, such as application forms, copies of birth certificates, passports, and visas, that USCIS receives on a daily basis is unstructured and contains important data that requires an IDP capability to automatically identify, extract important information, classify it, and drive the flow of information to end users. The system should be capable of converting unstructured data by utilizing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) to classify, categorize, extract, and validate the extracted data.
