The Department of Homeland Security is conducting market research for its Drone Development Program, seeking industry input on recoverable, reusable, lightweight, and rapidly deployable small multirotor unmanned aircraft systems. These systems would support DHS missions including operational awareness, surveillance, search and rescue, incident response, perimeter security, disaster assessment, maritime awareness, and law enforcement. DHS is interested in complete system kits featuring rapid deployment, operational video or imagery payloads, secure command-and-control and data links, domestic sourcing, NDAA compliance, and Blue UAS/Green UAS or equivalent cybersecurity and supply chain maturity.
