Cellular Wireless Managed Services
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposes to extend an existing task order with Widepoint Integrated Solutions on a sole-source basis for one month, from August 19, 2026 through September 18, 2026, to continue cellular services and support for DHS Science and Technology (S&T). The extension is necessary because a post-award protest prevents new task orders under the CWMS 3.0 IDIQ contract. The services support approximately 2,000 DHS S&T staff across Washington and laboratories in locations including New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Alabama, and Florida. Widepoint is deemed the only responsible source, as transitioning to another contractor for this brief period would cause severe operational disruptions, security risks, and loss of mission-critical communications.
