U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) on behalf of the DHS Office of Strategic Sourcing, proposes to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Herman Miller furniture products and services pursuant to FAR 8.405-6(b) Items peculiar to one manufacturer. DHS/OPO intends to limit the number of sources solicited pursuant to FAR Part 8.405- 6(b)(1) for the procurement of Herman Miller brand name furniture products and services. DHS/ OPO intends to solicit Herman Miller products utilizing GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Large Category- Furniture & Furnishings, Subcategory- “Packaged Office”, Special Item Number (SIN) 33721P, and Large Category Number- Furniture & Furnishings, Subcategory-“Comprehensive Furniture Management Service, Special Item Number (SIN) 541614CF, from the 14 estimated available authorized Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) resellers to ensure a fair and reasonable price. The requirement is to provide products and services peculiar to Herman Miller product lines by offering a "packaged office" and "total solution" at an estimated cost of $98M. The required Herman Miller product lines will allow DHS Components to re-utilize existing Herman Miller furniture or buy new Herman Miller furniture to match existing configurations. Herman Miller furniture products are one of the four major furniture product groups existing in DHS Component facilities.
