Industry Partners, The attached J&A was executed in response to demands for COVID-19 testing at the Southwest border. As a result, timelines were included in the J&A which contemplated reopening the solicitation concurrent with the modification of the contracts. The J&A indicated an industry engagement session would be held on April 8, 2021 and the COVID-19 Testing Solutions solicitation would be reopened on April 19, 2021. The timelines included in the J&A reflect the expected response to the situation when it was signed on March 19, 2021. Since the J&A was executed, requirements have continued to evolve and the Department continues to define its approach. As a result of the continued evolution in requirements, the stated timeline is now outdated. DHS still anticipates reopening the solicitation, but not within the timelines stated in the J&A. An updated timeline for reopening the solicitation will be posted as the Department confirms its approach. DHS values its partnership with industry and will continue to communicate openly regarding changes in timelines and approach. Any updates to the DHS Wide COVID-19 Testing Solutions solicitation, 70RDAD20R00000012, will be posted to beta.sam.gov.
