The requirement is to provide equipment and applicable software licenses for a miniSim simplified cab system. Investigate the efficacy of simulator training as well as the nature of human/machine interactions to optimally leverage such training. This line of inquiry has implications, not only for driving simulation training, but as a platform to investigate task distraction, decision making, and automated measurements of training performance. If successful, this concept could optimize training beyond physical skills to ensure students are cognitively prepared to transfer the training to novel environments.
