FEMA intends to award sole-source contract to Hawaii Interpreting Services, to provide On-site Foreign Language Interpretation Services for all its components (Disaster Operations, Private Sector and Resource Management)to include joint efforts with other Federal partners, international and domestic organizations, state and local, voluntary/ community/faith based, profit/non-profit. The minimum requirements are as follows: •Vendor must be able to provide American Sign Language interpretation for both individual appointments and for FEMA events. •Vendor must be able to provide Communication Access Real-Time (CART) services for FEMA events. •ASL interpreters must be able to be requested when a language or cultural specialist is needed. The Period of Performance is expected to be October 1, 2024 through November 30, 2024, with 2 options to extend for an additional 2 months each, for a total of 6 months.
