SPECIAL NOTICE: Awards are anticipated to be made BEFORE solicitation closes!! This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. The purpose of this requirement is to obtain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region VII’s response to COVID-19. The Government anticipates award of separate, single awards to multiple vendors for the commercial items listed within this solicitation. The Government may issue Firm Fixed Price Purchase Orders (PO) and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)/Calls, under FAR Part 8 and 13, resulting from this solicitation. Due to the fact that local, state, and federal governments across the nation as well as other countries are all seeking PPE, FEMA Region VII is making every effort to fulfill its requirements while also being a good steward by leveraging the capabilities of many vendors as opposed to burdening a few. Vendors altering their manufacturing capabilities to provide PPE are encouraged to submit a quote. The solicitation and award approach is unique. For complete details see attached documents.
