FEMA has a primary requirement to simplify the navigation of FEMA Post-Disaster funding streams for states, communities and potential applicants for disaster assistance through an interactive tool or application. This application must also meet FEMA’s secondary requirements to: Ensure NFIP compliance Help applicants maximize the available post-disaster funding Decrease duplication of benefits The target audience for this tool will be local community officials and state partners. In some cases, local communities will be applicants for disaster assistance. In other cases, local community officials can use the app in order advise applicants for disaster assistance (individuals, property owners, private non-profits, etc.).
