U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Yuma Sector requires Class "A" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training with endorsements (hazardous material, double/triple, tanker) for seven employees. The course must not exceed 120 hours, the driving school must be approved by the Arizona Department of Transportation, the instructor must be certified, and the school curriculum must include the operation of manual transmission vehicles and not be limited to automatic transmissions in tractor-trailers. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract with training beginning in September 2021. The Government intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to the following entity: HDS Trucking Driving Institute dba Yuma Truck Driving School 3180 E. 32nd St. Yuma, AZ 85365 Yuma Truck Driving School is the only ADOT-approved driving school in Yuma County, where the attendees are located. A Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about August 18th. It is anticipated that award will be made on or about August 27, 2021. The applicable NAICS code is 611519 - Other Technical and Trade Schools. The corresponding size standard is $16.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The RFQ will not be made available through www.sam.gov. Any vendor seeking a copy of the RFQ must request one from the contracting officer by submitting a request to eric.r.neckel@cbp.dhs.gov. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
