CBP is the nation’s largest law enforcement agency, employing over 40,000 sworn law enforcement officers/agents within the DHS. CBP has three primary components that assist with enforcing the nation’s immigration and customs laws: Air and Marine Operations (AMO), the Office of Field Operations (OFO), and USBP. CBP identified the need for IDVRS technology through several comprehensive evaluations and studies, thorough requirements analysis, and extensive market research. IDVRS incorporates hardware and software for incident-driven recording of interactions not present in current CBP fixed camera systems. The primary technology used to record these interactions is the body-worn camera (BWC), utilized across the nation by state and local law enforcement operations. IDVRS includes VMS, cloud-based storage, and redaction capabilities. The vendor shall provide 20,000 software and cloud storage licenses to support CBP’s IDVRS program and access to the video management system (VMS).
