CBP identified the need for IDVRS technology through several comprehensive evaluations and studies, thorough requirements analysis, and extensive market research. IDVRS incorporates hardware and software for incident-driven recording of interactions not present in current CBP fixed camera systems. The primary technology used to record these interactions is the body-worn camera (BWC), utilized across the nation by state and local law enforcement operations. IDVRS includes VMS, cloud-based storage, and redaction capabilities. This procurement intends to secure VMS licenses for CBP for the next five years. These will be used to upload, manage, and view IDVRS captured footage in the vendors VMS.
