U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center (TRACEN) Petaluma located at 599 Tomales Road, Petaluma, CA 94952-4154. The purpose of this work is to reduce risk to life and property in case of fire during wildfire season. The SCA will be grazed with goats. Grass will be eaten down to approximately 4 inches or 80% of vegetation removed up to 4 to 5 feet. Fuel reduction is intended to lower the risk of catastrophic wildfires by managing vegetation to modify/reduce hazardous fuels. The benefits from fuel reduction include; prevent loss of lives, reduce fire suppression costs, reduce private property loss and protect natural resources.
