All other terms and conditions remain the same ** 52000QR260000310 USCGC VENTUROUS NR1 RED GEAR REDUCTION INSPECTION 1 Intent- CGC VENTUROUS is requesting a contractor inspects the NR1 Reduction Gear, evaluates the components for wear, verifies the alignment of the pinion and bull gear, and generates a service report/repair plan. The drive gear on the torque shaft and the two gear driven pumps need to be repaired. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote Number 52000QR260000310 USCGC VENTUROUS NR1 RED GEAR REDUCTION INSPECTION. This procurement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333612. All responsible business sources may submit proposals that will be considered. This synopsis/solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), and the resultant purchase order will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13. This requirement is of an unusual and compelling urgency in accordance with FAR 6.302-2. The inspection is necessary to ensure safety and mission readiness. Delay in award would result in unacceptable risk to government operations.
