Engine Repair
The U.S. Coast Guard requires a qualified contractor to perform a targeted top-end and cylinder rebuild on the #1 cylinder of two Cummins QSC 8.3 engines, along with an inspection of the remaining cylinders, for two 47 MLB vessels. The work must be completed within 30 days of contract award and can be performed at the National Motor Lifeboat School in Ilwaco, WA, or at the contractor's facility. The contractor must use certified Cummins technicians and strictly Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, and is responsible for all labor, materials, and fluids. Performance testing is required via either a dynamometer test or a dockside run and sea trial, with final acceptance contingent on satisfactory results and delivery of all documentation. This is a total small business set-aside, with evaluation based on technical capability, past performance, and price.
