The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order for Caretaker Services of US Coast Guard properties located on St. Paul Island, Alaska.. The vendor will be AWALIX, LLC, 4720 Business Park BLVD STE G42, Anchorage, AK 99503, UEI: FSQLFN2BBPB3. The period of performance will be from 25 Sep 2025 – 24 Sep 2026. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The contractor is the only known entity currently living on St Paul Island that is capable of performing these services. Due to the nature of the services being performed, a vendor must have staff living on St Paul Island year round, to ensure no damage to Coast Guard properties occur. USCG Base Kodiak, Kodiak AK 99615, will be the procuring entity for this effort. Performance will be located at Kodiak AK 99615. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 561790. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 24 Jul 2025, at 1:00 p.m., Alaska time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
