The awarded contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to install 10 new smoke detectors in the 2”~ and 3~ floor berthing rooms. These rooms are currently not connected to the addressable system in the same Main Mission Building (MMB). All comleted work shall meet RI and federal fire detection codes. All work will be considered complete upon satisfactory testing of the system witnessed by the CG’s QAI. Using a Rhode Island licensed electrician install 10 new smoke detectors that have the ability to be connected to the addressable system cunently installed in the building. The 10 rooms that work will be conducted are highlighted on the attached drawing. - Electronically connect the 10 newly installed detectors into the current monitoring system. - Test and certify all new detectors are functioning with the old in place system. - Remove and dispose of the 10 older smoke detectors. - Contractor is responsible for patching any holes left by the removed detectors. Contractors shall also paint over any patch work to match the ceiling. - Ensure USCG QAI and local unit customer are present and test all systems both new and legacy work as intended.
