The U.S. Coast Guard seeks a total small-business set-aside contractor to fully renovate the kitchen at Station San Diego, Building F, 2170 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. The work includes demolition; new cabinetry, countertops, appliances, sink, garbage disposal, sump pump; electrical/plumbing updates; painting; and testing/commissioning, with all personnel, equipment, materials, and supervision provided by the contractor. Asbestos was not detected in the kitchen, but low-concentration lead was found on the east and south walls, so debris must be evaluated for TCLP/TTLC disposal, the contractor must provide its own dumpster, and past use of Connex boxes for limited secure storage has worked well. All work must be completed within 60 calendar days from written Notice to Proceed, performed 0800–1600 Monday–Friday with a 1100–1200 lunch, excluding federal holidays; utility disruptions must be coordinated at least 72 hours in advance, and Davis-Bacon prevailing wages for San Diego County apply. Award evaluation uses relevant past performance and price, and proposals must include product data/warranties, finish/paint samples, safety plans for lead and Cal/OSHA compliance, a technical schedule, past performance/licensing, and transparent pricing.
