PURCHASE DESCRIPTION for Forklift 6K 1.0 General 1.1 Scope Furnish and deliver a Diesel engine powered Forklift with 6K lifting capacity Hydraulic fork positioner, solid pneumatic tires, and suspension seat. 1.2 Delivery Location The delivery location is U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Strike Team located at Hangar #2 Hamilton Field Novato CA, 94949. Arrangements for delivery shall be made with the Unit's Engineering Division at 415-883-3311. Delivery times shall be between the hours of 0700 to 1500 local time, Monday through Friday inclusive. Unloading of the items from the delivery vehicle shall be the responsibility of the vendor. 1.3 References The Forklift shall be in accordance with the standards and specifications of the referenced organizations: -ISO Standards -Industrial Truck Standards Development Foundation -National Electrical Manufacturers Association -OSHA 1.4 Submittals 1.4.1 Catalog cuts, shop drawings and other information shall be submitted by the vendor as required herein and as necessary to secure approval of the equipment. Three copies of shop drawings, catalog cuts and other printed information. One copy of printed matter will be returned to the vendor for his use. 1.4.2 Submittals shall be made within five days after the award of the contract, and include: a. Manufacturer's Factory Test Reports b. Warranty c. Manufacturer's Operation and Maintenance manuals. 2.0 Forklift 6K 2.1 General Forklift 6K shall be industrial grade standard production model consisting of coordinated components and certified by the manufacturer. The model shall have been in production for a minimum of five years, and have a one year manufacturer's warranty. The Forklift shall be ready for immediate operation upon delivery, and suitable for full load operation. Warranty shall be from the manufacturer and be for one year. 2.2 Characteristics a. Capacity: 6,000lb base capacity @ 24" load center. b. Engine: Diesel engine. c. Transmission: Powershift: 1FWD, 1 REV. d. Mast: Wide view mast, maximum fork height: 130" Overall Lowered height: 84", 6" free lift with hydraulic fork positioner (includes 3rd hydraulic valve, 3rd control lever, and internal hosing). e. Tires: SOLID Pneumatic, FRONT (drives): 815 x 15 REAR (steers): 650 x 10. f. Forks: 42" long standard pallet forks with 48" high load backrest Standard. g. CE rated, "Powershift" automatic transmission with transmission cooler. h. Light package (2 front headlights, backup & brake lights, turn signals, and STROBE light). i. Audible backup alarm. j. Tilt steering column. k. High air intake. l. One piece overhead guard. m. Rearview mirror. n. Horn. o. Fully hydraulic steering. p. Class III Carriage with 6 roller bearings, q. Hydraulic braking, separate inching & brake pedal. r. Operator manual. s. Suspension seat. 3.0 ACCEPTANCE 3.1 Training, and Operation and Maintenance Manuals a. Three original copies of the manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals shall be provided. Manuals shall be annotated to indicate actual catalog/model number of the components provided and/or associated with the loader. Manuals shall include the manufacturer's part number, source of supply, disassembly and assembly instructions, and orientation to adjacent components. Maintenance information shall include a schedule/checklist for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual PM procedures; and describe the procedures, and tools necessary to perform the procedures.
