THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price award for the US Coast Guard trash/refuse removal, septic waste disposal, and landfill disposal at multiple USCG locations in Cordova, Alaska. The vendor will be City of Cordova, 601 First St, Cordova, AK 99574, UEI KGD4CVFTJ5W4. The period of performance will be May 1, 2025 – April 30, 2029, should all options be exercised. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. Pursuant to Cordova City Code Section 14.20.090 and Ordinance 1206, the City of Cordova is the only authorized source in this location to provide the required services. USCG Base Kodiak, Kodiak AK 99619 will be the procuring entity for this effort. Performance will be located at Cordova, AK 99574. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 562212. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 31 Jan 2025, at 1:00 p.m., Alaska time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
