The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate (LESC), Harpers Ferry, WV, on behalf of Operations Support (OS), CBP, and DHS, is assessing the suppressor industry’s ability to provide DHS with suitable rifle suppressor which meet the government’s preliminarily identified requirements of being full-auto rated, available in two different lengths (standard and short), and being able to quick attach to Surefire SOCOM muzzle suppressor adapter currently utilized by CBP. This is a Request for Information (RFI) released pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10-Market Research. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain market information on viable sources of supply, industry practices, answers to specific questions, and industry comments relating to the attached full RFI.
