The contractor shall provide consultation services for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in support of CBP medical support efforts. The contractor shall assist with advising on medical direction and guidance in direct support of the US Border Patrol office (USBP). The contractor shall consult and advise on medical direction for U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) medical operations, including Emergency Medical Services, tactical medicine, contingency response, public health/infectious disease efforts, and medical support for persons in custody. The contractor shall support and assist, in an advisory capacity, with the occupational medicine section supporting the CMO. The contractor shall assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of CBP-wide occupational medicine policy and guidance and provide technical and programmatic support to the CBP Senior Occupational Medicine Officer and the Occupational Medicine program supporting the CMO. The contractor shall provide their guidance and professional expertise in support and assistance of the operational medicine section supporting the CBP CMO with medical direction of CBP operational medicine efforts. The contractor shall also support the Local Physician Advisor (if applicable) for the assigned region. The contractor shall assist with guidance and direction to CBP organic Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel and regional leadership on various topics such as training, equipment, reporting requirements, protocol adherence, policy compliance, and coordination with local medical/health systems, as appropriate.
