The US Customs and Border Protection intends to award a sole source contract to SafeBoats International for the purchase of up to 21 38’ alumnium, enclosed All-Weather Coastal Interceptor vessels. The sole source award is based on standardization. A standardized configuration means that the configuration baseline for each boat in that configuration within that class or subclass is exactly the same. The operation of a standardized vessel is critical to the safety of AMO operators. The Government will award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with a base year and two one-year options. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
