U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award to Roco Rescue for acquisition of the ROCO Rescue equipment for the Special Response Team (SRT) at the Los Angeles Field Office. Delivery will be made within thirty days from date of award. ROCO Rescue is a company utilized by CBP to conduct training and equipment purchases. ROCO provides the training utilized by CBP Special Operations Teams to include OFO Special Response Team (SRT) and Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) team. ROCO puts together equipment packages with all the equipment used during the training course that is geared towards what is necessary to successfully complete the law enforcement special operations mission. The tactical lifesaving equipment provided by ROCO Rescue has been tested and approved by Special Operators in the field. Other federal agencies also utilize ROCO Rescue for equipment purchases. Having similar equipment with other federal agencies is extremely important for equipment familiarity and interoperability when responding to rescue and tactical situations in the field. This is critical when CBP personnel are involved in life saving situations.
