This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Saltstack, Inc., 3400 N. Ashton Blvd., Suite 110, Lehi, UT 84043 for Saltstack Enterprise Maintenance. Saltstack software is peculiar to Saltstack, Inc. which is the only manufacturer of these items and the only one authorized to make changes or provide updates; no other product or service will meet the Government's needs. No formal solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, prospective contractors who believe they can successfully quote must provide specific, detailed technical documentation to support such claims of abilities. The Government will review any submittals received in response to this notice prior to 3:00 PM EDT on March 17, 2020. All documentation must be submitted via email. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses to this announcement. This is the only notice that will be issued for these items. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
