U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires three types of low energy drive through systems. These include: Type 1 - Systems with a smaller footprint capable of supporting pre-primary and post-primary scanning in high-traffic environments; Type 2 - Systems with a larger footprint capable of providing multiple x-ray views to support secondary inspections; and Type 3 - Systems capable of inspecting buses and trucks/semi-trailers. These systems will enable CBP to inspect conveyances for contraband such as illicit drugs, illegal weapons, and currency. The systems will emit low-energy x-rays to scan conveyances with drivers safely inside. Estimated solicitation relase date is 8/3/2020.
