The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the procurement of aircraft pilot training and helicopter training services on a variety of aircraft and FAA pilot certification(s) and ratings. The training will consist of ground school (academic classes), simulation sessions, dual, solo flight training, or other training as appropriate to meet FAA and/or Air and Marine Operations requirements. The training will ential: (1) Initial Transition and (2) Annual Recurrent Training or (3) Differences training between one Series type rating and another Series. The contract type for this effort will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) with Cost Reimbursement CLINS. It is anticipated that the period of performance for the Aircraft Pilot Training requirement will be for a Twelve (12) Month Base Period and Four (4) 12-Month Option Periods, with an opportunity for a 6-Month Option at the end of Option Year 4. It is anticipated that the Solicitation will be made available via the new federal opportunities website at www.beta.sam.gov in the later part of December 2019. Hard copies of the Solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including Solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most-up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business now or in the immediate future with the Federal Government must be registered in http://www.beta.sam.gov. The date for receipt of proposals will be provided in the forthcoming Solicitation.
