The National Toxicology Program (NTPL) is performing research studies with iPSC derived cardiomyocytes which is an important source of human derived heart cells using cellular reprogramming and differentiation technologies. FUJUFILM Irvine Scientific is one of the first companies inventing this technology and providing reliable iPSC-Cardiomyocytes to the scientific community and it is highly recommended to acquire these cells developed using their patented technologies. The NTPL will be screening chemicals that are of interest to the NIEHS, measuring various biological endpoints related to heart functionality. The applicable North American industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325414 “Biological Product (Except Diagnostic) Manufacturing).” Its associated Business Size Standard is 1,250 EM. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with FujiFilm Irvine Scientific, Inc., and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM.GOV) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
