The Integra Biosciences VIAFLO 384 Base Unit is needed as part of the mission of the Division of the National Toxicology Program (DNTP) at the NIEHS, RTP, NC. The DNTP is planning to develop disease-based toxicology approach to understand environmental chemical exposure effects on susceptible populations. A new laboratory (Invitro Disease Modeling) is being formed to study the role of disease states on the onset or exacerbation of the severity or progression of various diseases. This mission critical activity requires basic pipetting equipment to conduct research work in a timely manner. The proposed liquid handling devices will greatly enhance the lab’s ability to handle 96, and 384-well plates for medium to high-throughput testing assays. In addition, the consumables (pipette tips) required for these instruments are available in-house at the NIEHS self-service store. Integra Biosciences Corporation is the only company offering a wide range of manual and electronic pipettes that are compatible with singe type consumables across a defined volume. The applicable North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with Integra Biosciences Corporation and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to Valarie K. Sims at sims3@niehs.nih.gov and are due by 10:00 AM, August 2, 2022. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by the due date, an award will be made to Integra Biosciences Corporation.
