This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Noldus Information Technology, Inc., 1503 Edwards Ferry Road, Suite 310, Leesburg, VA 20176. The Noldus Information Technology Cognition Walls are needed to monitor the continuous behavior over extended periods. This system will generate large amounts of complex data that requires continuous monitoring and specialized analysis. In addition, this system allows for novel protocols that can assess cognition, anxiety, and other behavioral endpoints. Currently the NIEHS has extensive hardware and software in the Noldus Ecosystem, which means that the Noldus Cognition Walls are compatible with the Noldus software and cannot be achieved from other sources.
