SOURCES SOUGHT UNDER THE BUY INDIAN ACT BACKGROUND: The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS), Santa Fe Indian Health Center (SFIHC) Pharmacy Department has a need for continued Lease, Maintenance & Software Support on the Scriptpro Automated Medication System. PURPOSE/STATEMENT OF WORK: The contractor shall be in accordance with all Federal, State, Local, Tribal and IHS regulations and shall be made with minimal divergence from the schedule established and with minimum disturbance and maximum protection of government personnel, property and general public. The contractor shall provide an automated medication filling, labeling, and checking system (in place that is leased). This equipment increases the efficiency of the prescription filling process and increases the patient safety of the process through checking mechanisms. This system also interfaces with the hospital computer system to help automate telephone medication refill requests. SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: (Brand Name) 1. Automated robotic medication filling system. 2. Automated prescription vial labeling system. 3. Bar code based checking system to ensure correct filling of medications. 4. Ability to capture signature of patient/customer when picking up medications. 5. Ability to interface with RPMS hospital computer system. 6. Ability to interface with AudioCare telephone medication refill system. 7. Includes maintenance, hardware and software support. EXECUTION / INSTALLATION: Movement of the Scriptpro Automated Medication System to the new renovated location will need to be included. Includes lease of equipment, maintenance and software support. SUPPORT: 1. Equipment to lease, maintenance and software support. Provide support services via telephone upon request. SUBMITTALS: The Vendor will provide maintenance data for system to include the operation and maintenance manual. Utilize the information received with future acquisition planning efforts and potential Buy Indian set aside. HOW TO RESPOND: This is a sources sought notice under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. The Indian Health Service (IHS) is attempting to locate qualified and eligible Small Business Indian Firms, “Native American Indian Owned and Operated businesses,” that can provide services/supplies to the Indian Health Service. This is a request for information only, this is not a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
