This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation, an obligation or commitment by the Billings Area Indian Health Service. The Billings Area Indian Health Service Commercial Contracting Branch is looking for Businesses who can provide Optometry equipment preventive maintenance, calibration and repair services at IHS facilities in Montana and Wyoming. The Contractor shall provide annual preventive maintenance on the optometry equipment in the Optometry examination rooms at the IHS facilities in the Billings Area (Montana and Wyoming). The trained technician shall clean, adjust, lubricate, and calibrate all of the exam room equipment Provide exam room lane software updates and IT troubleshooting as needed. The trained technician shall clean, adjust, update software, calibrate and repair all requested ancillary testing equipment. Provide on-call services and IT troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions. PM Services on Phoroptor: Cleaning service on all phoroptors: The Contractor shall provide a loaner phoropter while cleaning each phoropter. The phoroptors may be cleaned on-site or taken/shipped off-site. Clean and lubricate all mechanical parts, reposition correctly and adjust smooth phoroptors. Thoroughly clean and check all optics (lenses and prisms). Clean and align all scales. Lubricate and adjust main support PD and convergence controls, reading rod arm and top locking device. Clean, lubricate and align loupe turrets, including Jackson cross cylinders and prism assemblies. Adjust all control knob tensions to correct smooth operating industry standards. Contractor will provide each service location with an annual preventative maintenance service report. Phoropters and equipment will be tagged annually with a maintenance sticker. Additional repair services, as needed, to cover any malfunctions that occur outside factory warranty and preventive maintenance. This is a Request for Capabilities Statements only.
